WOYWW 335 - The Halloween Crop and trying to get back into blogging.

Well, after stalking silently for the past few years most of the participants of Julia's WOYWW (Stamping Ground) I attended the WOYWW Halloween crop in Wiltshire with Dolores (Cardarian). Everyone was most welcoming and I had a marvellous time. The food provided by Lunch Lady Jan was super tasty and there seemed to be a never ending supply of tea and cake. Everyone was very friendly and I felt right at home. I was so busy saying hello and getting to know my fellow crafters I didn't take any photos of the day.
I received some lovely tags that I will display in my craft room. Thank you to everyone for making me most welcome, thanks to Jan for lovely food, endless tea and cake, and thanks to Julia, for without her WOYWW, the day would not have happened. A big thank you also goes to Alan (Dolores DBF) who drove us there and back in comfort.

Now to the matter in hand - what is on my work desk? I have been making a card for my sister in laws birthday.  It's just a simple one but I am sure she will like it. The stamp is from Personal Impressions and I painted it with my Inktense pencils. Stickles provide the glittery bling on the stars. Apologies for the photo, the light isn't brilliant and is reflecting off the card. Besides the card there is the remains of the creative process plus lurking amidst it all is an orange lollipop which I keep for when I get insomnia and have a middle of the night crafting session. I always want something sweet at 3am!

Now I shall see if I can link this up and come and visit you all. I shall endeavour not to forget my password this time!

Thanks for reading,
Lizzie

  1. Woohoo!! You made it :-) Lol Seriously, it was great to meet you on Saturday and even better that we can now keep up the friendship! You fitted right in with the gang..it's funny how easy it is to get on with someone in reality when you've already got to know them well through t'Interwebs. Your card is very pretty, I like that stamp very much and of course, you can't go wrong with bling! I had a serious case of Pencil Envy at the Crop and will be asking Santa for some. I've been a good girl...honest ;-)

  8. Well, you're here! Welcome to our Wednesday madness. I'm glad you enjoyed the crop and have finally been able to get a blog together. Well done. This means you have about 60 instant friends!
Your SIL's birthday card looks beautiful. She will be pleased! (She doesn't read your blog, does she?)
I smiled at the 3 am lolly. Gotta keep your glucose levels up. At 3 am they dip dangerously (I speak out of experience having been a nurse and done a lot of night shifts)
    Have a good week,

  13. How wonderful that you got brave and went to the crop! I'm glad you had a lovely day - and that you're now joining in with WOYWW. You've certainly come home with a beautiful collection of tags - lucky Lizzie!
The card you made is so bright and happy. I love all the bright colours - I suppose that's why the pencils are called "Inktense". I like Stickles too - it's great to add a bit of sparkle, without going over the top (or with over the top, if that's what is required!). My favourite is "Diamond" Stickles, because you can add it to anything, of any colour and it just adds sparkle, without altering the colour underneath.

    Have a happy weekend!

  15. Hello Lizzie - sorry I wasn't there in person to say hello. I usually am. I haven't missed a WOYWW crop the last few years but sadly I couldn't make the halloween one as I was taking my son to Newmarket to start his college course. Next time hey?! Take care Zo xx 32
